Hamilton County Municipal Courthouse
The Municipal Criminal Division is concerned with criminal cases whose maximum incarceration penalty is 12 months and maximum fine is one thousand dollars ($1,000). Offenses carrying greater penalties than these, such as felony OVI cases, are handled by the Common Pleas Criminal Court.
Hamilton County Municipal Courthouse – Criminal Division 1000 Main Street Cincinnati, OH 45202For many misdemeanor OVI cases after an arrest in Hamilton County, the court appearance will be in the Hamilton County Municipal Courthouse, 1000 Main St., Cincinnati, OH, or in Courtroom A or B in the Justice Center, 1000 Sycamore St., behind the courthouse.
The initial appearance on an OVI case might be in room 121 of the courthouse, if you have been cited to court or have made bond. If a bond needs to be set, the initial appearance on an OVI case might be in room A of the Justice Center.

Common Pleas Criminal Court
Felony OVI cases are prosecuted in Hamilton County’s Common Pleas Criminal Court. The Criminal Division of Common Pleas handles all felony cases bound over to the grand jury and all grand jury indictments.
